The owner/head brewer of Old Stump Brewing Co.TM, originally from Austria, brought with him a deep appreciation for classic German brewing methods and a thirst for American creativity.
Good beer means new horizons. It’s not just about skill, but exploration, introspection, and development as well. The pioneering spirit that drives us is symbolized by the word “exploration,” and it serves as the inspiration behind our pursuit of excellence in brewing beer of every imaginable style.
Harald, the master brewer, has been following in the footsteps of his Austrian forebears for years. Harald and Barbara, after years of honing their recipes, decided to release their beer to the public in partnership with Harald’s longtime friend and business partner, Liz. At Old Stump, we’ve found the sweet spot between knowledge, experience, and talent to create a brew that’s both original and of the greatest quality. One of their goals was to achieve this.
At the front door you could see our 15-barrel brewing system. The tasting area is vast, and it features a mural by renowned muralist Jonas Never.
From Harald, who continues to serve as a source of motivation for us today, to the next generation of beer enthusiasts who share our thirst for innovation, we are committed to staying at the forefront of the brewing industry.
Our goal was to create a tasting room and beer with the same sort of rustic-meets-industrial vibe that was prevalent in the original factory. With this layout, the Old Stump Brewing Co.TM, which is located in Pomona, CA, is proud to give its customers more than simply a fun place to hang out and delicious beer (new friends). We have over twenty beers on tap, so there’s sure to be one that suits your taste. For suggestions, please feel free to consult with our beertenders and other employees. All of the beer that comes out of our taps is guaranteed to be fresh since our brewers are always coming up with new formulations. However, while some craft beers are only available during certain times of the year, we still offer a wide variety of options for our guests.
